MEET THE RECRUITS
Join us in welcoming Public Safety recruits (pictured left to right) Cassidy Forbes, Marcus Crump and Matthew Milan. They are working on completing their training with the Kalamazoo Fire Academy and Grand Valley State University Police Academy, in addition to learning valuable skills from EGR Public Safety staff.
After passing their licensing exams, they will be promoted to Public Safety officers and serve our community. If you see them at the Public Safety building or around the city, please say hello.
SPRINKLER REMINDER
Homeowners are asked to check the timers on their lawn sprinklers to avoid going off during peak commute hours for students on their way to school.

The city’s yard waste pickup service also provides storm cleanup to residents. Tree limbs should be cut to a maximum length of 6 feet and tree logs cannot exceed 12 inches in diameter. Large yard waste items may be collected a few days following the scheduled pickup date due to the equipment required.
