[ARCHIVED] Yard Waste Collection Begins Early

Packet truck

In response to several windstorms and the forecast of early spring weather, the City has decided to begin the yard waste pickup program early this year. City crews will begin collections on Monday, March 14. Daily routes will stay the same as last year.

* Small twigs, branches, leaves and general yard debris must be placed in paper bags or reusable containers less than 32 gallons and must weigh less than 40 lbs when full.

* Paper bags and containers full of debris should be placed on the grass between the sidewalk and the curb the night before collection. Debris cannot be raked into the street in the spring.

* Large branches must be cut into 6’ lengths and must be no more than 12” in diameter. Branches can be stacked on the outlawn.

* All items for collection should be placed on the out-lawn (between the curb and sidewalk), not in the street.

For questions concerning collection routes, schedules, or regulations, please contact the Public Works Dept. at 616.940.4870 or see the link below.
